The annual Guelph Lecture – On Being Canadian is coming up on Friday, January 20, 7:00 PM, at the River Run Centre.

This year’s program features Dr. Jeannette Armstrong, an Okanagan knowledge keeper, author, educator, artist, and activist who will speak about how important the land (and waters) are to our health and well-being, and how that influences our human relationships.

Ann Hui, food reporter for the Globe and Mail, will speak about a project in which she traced the Chinese restaurants along the CP Railway from Fogo Island to the West Coast.

There will also be music by Midnight Shine, a group of First Nations musicians from Northern Ontario

Tickets are $20.
