Book Bash 2014

Book Bash is an annual celebration of books published by Guelph and area authors over the previous year.

The 2014 edition will be held from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM at the eBar on Sunday, September 28th as part of Culture Days. Over twenty local authors will be in attendance, introducing their books, making copies available for sale, and mingling with the audience to chat and sign their work.

The event will be hosted by Dan Evens of CFRU’s Books for Breakfast show, and it will include performances by local spoken word artists and music by Mo’ Kauffey and by The Rolling Blackouts.

Book Bash 2014 will also be the launch event for The Rhapsody Anthology 2014, the annual collection of Guelph poetry and very short prose that Vocamus Press is publishing to increase public awareness of Guelph authors.

Here are some ways you can be involved:

If you’re a Guelph-area author with a book published between September 2013 and September 2014, we would be glad to have you come and promote your book on September 28.

If you’d like to volunteer your time, we could use some people to help set up, take down, welcome guests, hand out programs, and so forth.

If you’d be willing to help promote the event, we would be grateful if you circulated our Book Bash 2014 flyer electronically or printed copies and posted them in your workplace or neighbourhood.
